Halpenny Travel and its team have worked closely with the local community over the past 90 years.

Halpenny Travel & Rural Transport Programme

Halpenny Travel is heavily involved with Louth Linx (link to http://www.louthlinx.com/ ) with the provision of services under the Rural Transport Scheme. The purpose of this scheme is to give older people in particular a service which brings them door-to-door from their home to town.

It is also a very sociable programme as it helps people who may have reduced mobility or no transport of their own to get out and meet people. All our drivers are continuously participating in training programmes aimed at improving their empathy and understanding of how to deal with these passengers.

Halpenny Travel & Local clubs and Schools

Halpenny Travel also work with several local community groups and societies such as our local Athletics Club, Karate Club, GAA clubs in our surrounding areas and also over 50% of the schools in the Blackrock and Dundalk area.
